Employment Law 3.18.14
This course will provide an introductory level overview of various employment laws affecting the workplace as well as how potential liability issues may affect supervisors and managers. Participants will learn the differences between state and federal law pertaining to protected classifications; key aspects in determining exempt and non-exempt status; wage and hour laws including meal and rest periods requirements, reporting time pay, overtime, and make-up time. A review of leave laws affecting employers and harassment prevention are also addressed in this course.
