Roundtable: When Reasonable Accommodation are Anything But? ADA/FEHA Accommodation & Interactive Process
The American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires employers to reasonably accommodate employees with disabilities. The ADA also requires that employers engage in the “interactive process” when exploring accommodations. What is considered “reasonable” and when does it become unreasonable? What about the employee who is not cooperating or who is unresponsive? Anyone dealing with this often frustratingly gray area of the law needs to attend this roundtable. These questions and more will be answered. Better to be prepared than to make a costly mistake.
