Here We Go Again…Again – SDEA Roundtable on Reinstated Covid Sick Pay; What You Need to Know.
On February 9th, Governor Newsom signed a bill reinstating Covid sick pay for employers with 26 or more employees which will go into effect 10 days after his signature.
This roundtable will address the nuances of the new bill, which will be retroactive to the first of the year, January 1, 2022. Find out who is eligible for the newly reinstated Covid pay; what the difference is between those who get 40 hours versus those who get 80 hours; how to deal with employees who have already used their sick leave this year for Covid and want it reinstated; and more.
